Dutch "Neo"-Colonial

This Dutch Colonial house was built in 1924 but had received several updates over the years, including one remodel in the 1930s where the thirsty workers left two empty beer bottles inside the walls! We replaced all the windows throughout the house with new, energy-efficient ones that matched the house's period detailing. We opened up the wall between the kitchen and dining room; built a new kitchen island perfect for gathering; added a downstairs powder room; matched the existing flooring; added a coat closet to the right of the staircase; seamlessly matched the existing millwork; and added all new cabinetry, appliances, and countertops. Architecture by Bill Denny Architect and photography by NRC Homes.
